Vintage Reds Queensland

Vintage Reds is an activist group of retired trade union members currently based in Brisbane, Queensland.

We meet at 10:00am on the 1^st Thursday of each month at the QCU Building, 2^nd Floor 16 Peel St. South Brisbane QLD 4101.

Members also regularly join union pickets and campaigns when requested.

VR members join 10,000 unionists on 27th August 2024 in support of the CFMEU and attacks on it by the Federal and Qld Governments

We seek to:

• • promote and support the interests of trade unionism and retired unionists,

• • provide forums for political discussion, education and camaraderie, and

• • participate in industrial campaigns, social justice forums, debates, demonstrations and rallies.

Under the ACTU across Australia retired unionist networks are being formed and organising meaningful activities and actions – see https://www.australianunions.org.au/about-unions/retired-unionists-network/. In Brisbane we have an elected Committee who organise activities for our regular monthly meeting, as well as publicising Union actions.
